From what I understand, each of them left the field for their own reasons. Odd left because the winds were destroying his tent nad he had 2 small children to worry about staying tented at night. Meorls tent was the same, several were dehydrating, others had not set up tents yet. Some may have been unhappy about the numbers, others came to fight alongside there unit mates, and when those unit mates hate other concerns, they would prefer to see their unit mates were taken care of BEFORE enjoying a game. I see it as looking out for one another.  Perception is NOT truth, seek it.

Also, if the numbers were so lopsided, why did none volunteer to help even it out, instead of reveling in an undeserved victory?

This is one thing the Fallen Clan will stand against at all costs, picking on other people or teams.

Is there a kill switch for the drama? The powers that be are already planning DT2. Why not go and have a rematch instead of gripeing about stuff that's already happened?

In an RP battle, a Story teller cannot simply ask a team to switch sides. It kinda defeats the point of RP. Mordor won, the first field battle, actually. There were quite a few things that demoralized AoM... but mostly it was that weather. In the next DT we are going to have tournaments in the middle of the day, not field battles. Also. Kurai doesn't "Take" anyone. There was no order to go. I had my family with me, at that moment, I went and started preparing lunch for them..... draw backs of being a family man.

Rhia and I are working very hard to get a "Supplimentry" rule set for the RP battles. Defining what is, and is not a Non-com or OOC person, reworking the loot system, ... a totally different, and already much cooler, version of banner wars. And much much more uses for gold.

Next DT is gonna be a different animal. We're pretty excited.

Glork, Raz suggested we switch some of the people up, but since it was an in character event I didn't want people being forced to switch affiliations simply for the sake of one battle. As for when people left, we all had our own reasons, like Orrin said. If they had wanted to stay and fight, they could have. But I went to have a good time, same as you did. My good time just consisted of different things than yours.

@ Orrin Honestly I didn't notice the lopsidedness. If Raz had asked to have people switch the Grorks would have. We enjoy fair fights. Also I doubt every single person wanted to leave. We had people from AOM fighting before hand w/o their unit mates. Could they not also fight after AOM left.

@ Khyn and Odd I'm excited to see the next DT set up.

@ Kurai If it really was a large enough issue to need people to switch than the RP level could have been put aside for a split second to fix it.  And I went to have a good time as well. But I'd like to know if everyone understands why I'm a little ticked off at AOM? I had to drive just a tad further than anyone else who went. 6 hours is not a fun drive when half the field only fights for 15 min.

Would it suffice everyone if I said, "Yeah I was irritated but I'm over it now."?

Not if that's not how you actually feel about it.

Anyways, this doesn't bother me too much. My standpoint is this, "The welfare and good time of my unit is more important to me than the welfare and good time of yours." I'll see to my guys before anyone else, and most of them felt like swimming. So swimming it was.

Yeah, so to add my input to this quagmire of irritation... I can vouch for any of the AoM, that not only the weather, not only the lopsided-ness of the battle, but the sheer WAIT. The wait we had to endure just to fight that one battle. over an hour of sitting around, in the blazing heat, drinking warm water, and wondering if the fighting would ever happen. And in case you were not watching, the AoM were sparring for a good portion of that hour out of sheer boredom. Kurai had nothing to do with "calling it quits" or whatever. I myself[i/] walked up to everyone as they were res-ing and said, "hey,  who wants to go swimming?" because regardless as to how much i wanted to fight, the sound of having water flowing profusely over my very over heated body was just too good to pass up. So i was the instigator on that front. XP  besides. we had only 8 people from the AoM out there anyways. vs the .. oh how many dreadwood alone? Anyways, I'm sorry you had to drive six whole hours to fight in a day battle that was frankely too hot to run, but the night battles were by far the best of the event, or so everyone agrees. I know i had much more fun in the evening. Tongue

You can be mad at us as a unit for ruining your day, but don't blame them for doing what they felt was right, alright? that's all we're asking. Cheesy and i hope to make it up to you by stomping your butt into the ground the next time I meet you on the field! Cheesy ALL BETTER! :DD
