Plate mail, Swords And Knives oh my

As soon as I get back from Texas here in two weeks or so I'm going to start offering handmade knives, swords, spears, platemail, and anything else i can come up with or you might want. The knives are my master pieces and specialities, but I can also make a fairly decent quality sword that will out perform most factory blades and still looks great. Plate mail is also within the grasp of my metal working abilities to some extent. I cant do anything real fancy with the plate just yet but its fairly good quality. I made a breast plate for a friend in Texas that stopped a .22 bullet, no he wasn't inside it at the time (I was). If you supply the materials I don't charge much at all, but if I have to use my stuff It's gonna cost double what it would if you brought your own.... I also accept trades.

sounds like fun. New Announcement tho, i can also take any factory made knives you might have layin around and replace the handle material or completely reshape the handle or blade of the knife.

Hmmm.....I have a set of swords that need better handles on em so that way they don't wobble all over.

well i need something to keep me occupied and to keep me from losing my mind so how about i fix them and you can pay me later.

We'll see. I'm still tallying up the cost of foam and stuff so I can save up to make that nodachi. 



By still tallying, I mean that I haven't gotten past the core yet. Standard cost for a min length red sword is $25. That includes single or double edged, stabby tip, and cover.


Obviously, this is going to be much larger, so will cost a bit more, and if PD got involved, it would add a lot more (that crap is EXPENSIVE!!!).

Like I said, it's a sword set. I don't know how much you would charge for that, and I don't have the cash for the supplies for the nodachi just yet.

I remember you talking about Sepiroth's sword, but I can't find the thread where you were talking about the measurements of the handle and blade. What were they for the nodachi? Length of handle, length of blade, total length?

@Niall I paid $150 for this class, cant skip haha lol its a knife making and basic machining class so its one that i actually enjoy. lol
@ Dragonwalker it depends on the work that needed to be done, I'd have to see them before i could say anything, and then we could sit down and haggle over a price.
Depending on where you get it, the Masamune is 68-72" overall with a 50-54" blade. I like the longer blade with the handle of the shorter one.
