A soldier in Alterran Legion, Venice’s life was deeply scarred by the New World Order at a very young age. She was born February the twenty-ninth, only a few minutes before her fraternal twin Alexander. Not many days later, soldiers from the NWO raided her home, taking her father captive for false charges of sedition. Seemingly for good measure, they also took Alexander, the male heir to the family. This caused Venice to be raised by her mother, apart from her father and brother, all the way into her adolescence. During this time, she joined the legion in Alterra’s twilight, alongside her childhood friend and companion Syra Elaessar and at the urging of Grandmaster Szabo Erinach, of whom she knew little about at the time. However, as she grew accustomed to the feel of a blade in her hand, she slowly became a faithful lover to the Grandmaster, who encouraged her with her swordplay and with her goal. She was still new to fighting and had little experience in the field when she decided to make the rescue effort. Paradoxically, it was partially successful. She escaped with her now-teenage twin, but her father was killed moments before she could speak to him. Thankful for her sibling’s life, but her spirit still deeply wounded, she now allows her heart to guide her actions, choosing to oppose anyone with the taint of the NWO, or who is otherwise corrupt or dishonorable. Because of her tendency to align herself with people of integrity, she was affectionately termed ‘the Rose Crusader’ by those closest to her, such as Grandmaster Szabo, Lady Elaessar, and Alexander. She has since served Alterra long and well; she is a long-standing knight, an incumbent of the Conclave, and has attained the military rank of Castellan of the Alpha star, juxtaposing her twin as Castellan of the Beta star. Her devotion to her beloved Alterra is now matched only by her undying romance with Grandmaster Szabo Erinach.
